History

In case you haven't haven't had your fill of UFO documentaries and Nostradamus specials on the History Channel, prepare yourself. The network is branching out into Discovery Channel territory.

The once-respected purveyor of stock footage has signed Larry the Cable Guy™ to host a new show called Only in America. The alleged comedian will "explore the country, immersing himself in different lifestyles, jobs and hobbies that celebrate the American experience."

So, it's like Dirty Jobs meets Huell Howser but without the charm of someone scraping animal carcasses off the road?

Here's to hoping the History Channel will soon get back to their humble roots and return to airing Planet of the Apes on a regular basis.
