Fed Up With Idolatry, God Destroys Graven Image

News out of godless Ohio:
A six-story-tall statue of Jesus Christ with his arms raised along a highway was struck by lightning in a thunderstorm Monday night and burned to the ground, police said.
The statue was financed by "by former horse trader Lawrence Bishop and his wife" with a price tag of $250,000. Seriously? A horse trader? I had no idea that was a profession.

No word yet whether the Bishops plan to rebuild.

  1. Well, SOMEBODY has to trade horses. Duh. I'm wondering if they worked out of the building next door to the church - Trader's World, the nation's tackiest flea market.

  3. I would have TONS of horses if I could, and go on trail rides and do dressage and teach them cool tricks and love them and hug them and .... Yeah. Anyway.

There's a lucrative horse racing industry, not to mention showing at a professional level - that shit brings in BIG bucks. Presumably enough to build a giant Jesus/tiny cross statue.
